Cast from a shell found on Brighton and Hove's beaches, this shell has been made into 22 ct gold vermeil and comes hung on a sterling silver chain which is 18"/42 cm long. The shell is 2.5 cm x 2.5 cm and 1 cm deep at the highest point. It has tiny indentations which come from the shell's journey through the sea and this mirrors the way that Katrina Alexander makes all of her jewellery - perfectly imperfect pieces to represent Life's Journey with its ups and downs. The shell has been polished with a brushed matt finish and is extremely tactile. Plated in 22ct Fairmined gold.
